Steps

In multi storey houses or buildings, steps are the most convenient way to move from one floor to another.
There are a lot of factors that must be taken into consideration while designing the steps . These include

• Height of steps - though it is more economical to have higher steps, as fewer steps will be needed to bridge the distance between 2 floors, you have to take into consideration safety. Small children and elderly persons will find it difficult to climb steep steps.
  
• Design  - depends on who will be using the steps
  
• Material 

Steps within a house will be designed differently compared to steps in public places which will be subject to more wear and tear.
